CGNPC: Rationally use the power of storage
China General Nuclear Power Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CGNPC) is a central enterprise growing up with China's reform and opening up and the development of nuclear power industry. However, if each nuclear power plant establishes a remote disaster recovery center, it will cost too much, so it is necessary to consider centralized disaster recovery and backup of these data.
High latency and low bandwidth exists from branches to group headquarters and other branch networks, so direct data write to headquarters will result in poor user experience and high bandwidth occupation, which will harm the rapid development of CGNPC.
CGNPC hopes to establish a set of advanced document information management system integrating document management, content management, knowledge asset management and document information lifecycle management, so as to realize the overall standardized management of document information resources in the whole industrial chain of its nuclear power and other energy sources. At the same time, document information resources can be applied to various businesses to provide effective information support services for enterprises.
Therefore, CGNPC has deployed SandStone mass object storage (SandStone MOS) in the data centers of the headquarters and its large-scale subordinate companies respectively, using the branch aggregation and distribution function to have established a star-like data synchronization and distribution architecture among the group headquarters, subordinate nuclear power plants, research institutes and other large and medium-sized branches, and realized the unified namespace and flow of the whole cluster data at the storage level.
Headquarters local active-active architecture: As the data aggregation and distribution center of the whole group, CGNPC headquarters adopts a local active-active deployment architecture high in availability, and two data centers are deployed with a full stack system respectively, including business systems, database and SandStone MOS, to support the rapid recovery of business in case of site-level failures.
Local branch data write-in: SandStone MOS can provide data services locally to speed up access to branch application data, reduce the network pressure across data centers, and gather data automatically to the data center of CGNPC headquarters.
Headquarters center data CDN distribution: When a branch has access to headquarters data, SandStone MOS can automatically distribute the data to the storage system of the branch data center through the internal CDN distribution function. The business can have access to the headquarters data locally and thus reduce the network pressure across data centers.
Transregional data scheduling: The Group internal subsidiaries, research institutes, nuclear power plants and other subordinate companies can share and exchange data across regions, simplifying data sharing at the application layer through the transregional data scheduling function of SandStone MOS.
